Sam Pilgrim Signs With Teva

3 November 2011  |
To further expand its commitment to mountain biking on a worldwide basis, Teva® has signed freeride extraordinaire Sam Pilgrim. Pilgrim marks the fourth mountain bike addition to the Teva Tribe since the brand launched its freeride shoes, the Links and the Pinner, earlier this year. Sam Pilgrim Pilgrim, originally from Colchester, has broken onto the freeride scene in the last two years taking the highest podium spot in 2011 at Vienna Air King, Monster Energy White Style, and he was the first European to make it onto the final Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour podium, taking victory at the season's final event, the Red Bull District Ride. "I've been watching the Teva Mountain Games since I started riding so I'm stoked to now be a part of the team," says Pilgrim. "I'm looking forward to working with a brand that I have a great connection with and one that is so supportive of the sport and the community that surrounds it through events like the Teva Mountain Games and Crankworx." About Teva Teva is a global adventure brand dedicated to helping people Live Better Stories. The concept of "adventure" is very different depending on who you talk to, but everyone understands an adrenaline rush, a dopamine high and a staggering sense of wonderment. These are the moments Teva helps provide. Since its birth on the Colorado River in 1984, Teva has a deeply ingrained connection to water, which is manifested in their products and the cause they stand for: clean water. In 2011 and beyond, Teva is launching "A Pair for a Foot," and, along with nonprofit groups the Waterkeeper Alliance and the Ocean Conservancy, will clean a linear foot of global waterways for every pair of shoes sold. It’s a tall order, but Teva is taking it on so that everyone can Live Better Stories for years to come. www.teva.co.uk
